What we found

Installers often carry more than one brand, so the brand counts below overlap: 39 verified installers hold 54 dealer relationships between them. Each installer is counted once per brand it is authorized for.

Daikin Atlantic is the largest single-brand installer network in the province: 19 of the 71 verified installers hold a current Daikin dealer listing.

39 of the 71 verified installers appear in a manufacturer's dealer network at all. This dataset combines all the brand networks and also checks installers against WorkSafeNB clearances, program participation, and business registries.

The most common single verification source in New Brunswick is WorkSafeNB: 58 of the 71 verified installers are registered employers in good standing. Businesses with no employees have no WorkSafeNB account to check, so a listing without one is not lacking anything.

Verified installers are present in 29 of the 33 cities, towns, and rural districts this directory tracks, from the southern metros to the Acadian Peninsula.

WaterFurnace stopped naming New Brunswick installers in its own directory in 2026 and now refers every NB query to a distributor. Geothermal capability in this dataset is evidenced through distributor records instead of the manufacturer's directory.

A meaningful share of New Brunswick installers do business under electrical, plumbing, or oil-heat names rather than heat pump names, and some are findable only through French-language search. Name searching undercounts this market; checking sources is how this dataset finds them.

How this was made

Every business here was checked against a named real-world source, and the listing shows which source and the date it was checked. The sources are manufacturer dealer locators, WorkSafeNB clearance, utility and government program participation such as the NB Power Enhanced Energy Savings Program, reviewed trade documents including the NB electrical contractor licence and refrigeration certification, and corporate registries including out-of-province ones where a business with New Brunswick premises is registered elsewhere.

Verified here means what it means everywhere on this site: a current record from an independent source, named, with a checked date, whose recheck window has not closed. A corporate registry record confirms only that the business exists under that name, so it renders as an identity note and is never counted as verified. A badge is not an endorsement, not a guarantee of workmanship, price, or availability, and not a government approval.

A business belongs in the dataset when it has a New Brunswick office or presence. Where it is registered never decides inclusion, in either direction.

The counts come from the same queries that drive the badge on a listing page and the stats line on the directory home, stamped with the data-as-of date above.
